For international shipping to Canada it costs an addition $14.99, in what I can only assume are American dollars. That gives a subtotal of $64.98 USD, or $75.50 CAN.

And that's not even the CE - just the pre-order. The Collector's Edition would be $84.98 USD or $98.76 CAN.

If I were to buy a pre-order in-store (an awfully big if), I could expect to pay at most $60-$65. It's not worth that much more. It's just not. Or the hassle.

But thank god I don't live in French Polynesia - it's a $59.99 shipping and handling fee there.

I do hope it's a typo, or it's just for oversea countries. Meaning here in Canada it maybe $14.99(or less), and maybe other countries like Germany, etc...$59.99(Euro).

All in all I'm happy that there is a EBGames where I live, that an other retail stores.

So...I notice I can no longer pre-order the CE from Best Buy? I've been busy lately and haven't placed my CE pre-order yet. Hell, I haven't even been able to play GW in over 2 weeks.

So did I miss the chance to pre-order from BB? Did they sell-out all the available pre-orders? Any possible news would be appreciated, Asrial, if you can find out anything...

In the meantime...I may be looking at pre-ordering elsewhere...I don't trust that I'd be able to get a CE off the shelf at BB before they sell out.

Was BB really taking pre-orders? I bought the pre-order box for $10, but they didn't take my name or number or anything. They just told me to come back with the receipt to get the $10 off.

I hope they'll have some in stock on Saturday, April 29...

The BB site did have it up for pre-order last time I checked. I think I'll just put in a pre-order elsewhere so I can guarantee a copy. I'm not concerned about the $10 spent for the Pre-Order Kit at BB.

just a small update/heads-up:
(this has probably been mentioned or ppl have heard about it already)

Basically today, I had time to go to my Ebgames store (Toronto) where I preordered.
So, I checked if they had the Collector's Edition of GWF by now in their system.

/Yes they did!

So for anyone who really wanted the CE factions (@their ebgames store), but was placed under a Standard edition w/ a CE note, go to your EBgames, and get it switched.

The Best Buy @ Frisco, TX is expecting 6 copies of "Guild Wars: Factions - Collector's Edition". I'm currently working with management to see if I can get more. The number I tossed out was about 20 copies.

At this moment, I cannot check the inventory levels of other stores. Not until it gets closer to shipment I think.

I don't know about pre-ordering from the website, if it's down or up or sold out.

My local BB (well, the one where the Media Manager or whatever is a heavy GW player) is getting 4 copies. So I'm planning on being there 30 minutes before BB opens on the 28th. Gotta get the CE!

Ya Eugaet, my BB is only getting 4 of the CE too. But he also said that they can't put it out before the 28th on the selfs. So it looks like i will be getting to BB early too so that i can get my CE....

also hey asrial....Does the reset have anything special on it so they know that i have boughten the pre-order packet and that i am to get 10$ off the game? Or what?

My store is getting 64 copies of the regular version, so not sure I'll be able to bump up the CE version.

Just take the game, whichever copy you get your hand on, and the receipt to customer service and tell them that you want to apply the pre-order to it.

Yeah, I was told the same thing. Selling something before the release date gets them a heavy fine. I'll be off work that day and camping out before the doors open. I've arranged to have a CE set aside and waiting for me...

if you don't care about the ce or having the media just buy your key from the ncsoft website and game on.

its not available on ncsoft sit my electronic freind...not yet anyway. I'm sure it will be there in future tho.

CE is not available from Amazon.com, only standard edition $44.99 now with preorder box.

My best bud ordered from Best Buy. They never gave out the key like they were supposed to or anything for the preorder. He sent an email asking to send it or he would cancel the order. Best Buy cancelled the order and that was that.

He ordered from Amazon and I got the preorder in a matter of days. Bday presents FTW!
